Over the course of the 2010’s, the Chicago Bulls have had a few polarizing figures come through their organization.

I won’t lie to you. This piece brought back some painful memories; painful because, as a Chicago Bulls fan, there were some incredible days less than a decade ago. There were days where the Bulls weren’t far off from an NBA Finals berth.

Today’s Bulls team is so far off from what fans saw in the early 2010’s — that’s what’s most painful.

Thinking back on the days of Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, Jimmy Butler and Joakim Noah (all led by Tom Thibodeau), it’s hard not to smile. Fans were given some fantastic memories with those teams. To think they seemed so close to beating LeBron James and the Miami Heat… Yeah, those were the days.

Now, we’re left with Jim Boylen and this deranged circus. This season is seemingly lost — or is it? The Eastern Conference’s bottom two thirds isn’t exactly pretty, therefore Chicago may actually have a chance at the eighth seed. But, that’s a sad conversation for another day.

One constant remains, though, as the 2010’s come to a close — Gar Forman and John Paxson. Once more, that’s a sad conversation for another day.

Over the last 10 seasons, Bulls fans have seen their fair share of rollercoaster rides. Emotionally, it’s been tough to be a fan at times. A few names have made us weary of ever believing the Bulls could be a powerhouse again. But, on the other hand, some guys have given us some of the best moments we’ve witnessed.

It has been a decade of highs and lows, and a few names stand out when thinking about the fan base and its emotional dysfunction. We’ve seen ups and downs from a lot of guys. We’ve been split on a lot of guys. Which names have been the most polarizing, though? Over the last decade, I can think of five which stick out more than anyone else.
