With the offseason practically here for the Chicago Bears, what are some early names to keep an eye on that could interest the Bears?

Going into the 2020 offseason, Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Pace will have a major task on his hands: Salvaging the Bears roster and turning it into a Super Bowl contender. While the Bears still have a Super Bowl caliber defense, the problem comes in on the offense, where multiple positions need to be addressed.

While the Bears could dip into free agency and find names to shore up some of the roster holes, the biggest issue with this is that some players only end up getting three or four-year deals. Additionally, the players that the Bears target in free agency will want guaranteed money that the Bears likely cannot afford to give out.

This is why filling roster holes through the NFL Draft is what makes the most sense for the Bears. The biggest advantage is that the Bears will have a chance to find players who could make a major impact in 2020 and well beyond for a cheap price since many will be on rookie contracts.

As of right now, on the offense, the major positions of need are tight end and offensive lineman. While quarterback is also a need, there’s no knowing what the Bears will do considering guys like Jalen Hurts and Jacob Eason will be projects that will take a full year to develop.

While the quarterback position will be the one position that determines whether or not the Bears end up having a good offseason in 2020, what are some draft prospects that are names you need to know early on, even with the NFL Draft nearly five months away? Let’s examine some names and find out.
