Trade No. 3

Yes, we are visiting this topic once again. If the Pelicans want to keep Jrue Holiday as their guy at point guard, then why keep Lonzo Ball? If the Bulls were once interested in acquiring Ball, maybe they would revisit the conversation.

The Bulls would be giving up a mid-tier player in Satoransky, along with a backup center in Luke Kornet. Since the Pelicans would be interested in acquiring assets, the Bulls would throw in a future second-round pick. However, Chicago has loved giving up second-rounders in recent years, so the year is undecided at the moment.

For Ball, I don’t think the Pelicans could ask for something as high as a first round pick anymore. At one point, maybe they would. But, with the way Ball has played throughout his young career, I don’t think they will get a first-rounder. Ball has been far less efficient and unimpressive on the offensive end, aside from his ability to distribute the ball.

If the Bulls still saw potential in Ball as a tough, defensive-minded point guard, I could see Forman and Paxson pulling the trigger on a deal for him. But, hopefully they don’t give up more than something like the deal above. If the Bulls were tricked into packaging a first-rounder for Ball, they lose this deal without question.
