A typical box safety who was known for at least being able to stop the run, Amos was one the first pieces that arrived in Chicago back in 2015 and helped former defensive coordinator Vic Fangio build a great defense.
While Amos did have his ups and downs during his time with the Bears, there were more ups than downs. It’s not often that a fifth-round pick will end up starting his rookie season and then lose his job to a veteran in year three but then regain it back and completely take off.
Part of the reason that Amos finally broke out in 2017 is because of the arrival of Eddie Jackson, who’s proven to be one of the Bears best security blankets on defense and the undisputed leader of the Bears secondary.
Over a four-year career in Chicago, Amos would have 269 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and two quarterback hits. He was never really a ballhawk however, in 2017, in a game against the Baltimore Ravens, Amos would end up 90-yard interception that he would return for a touchdown.
