Chicago Bears: 15 best NFL Draft Picks of the 2010’s
By Usayd Koshul
A guy that was the heart and soul of the Chicago Bears offensive line for nearly seven years in the 2010s, Kyle Long is easily the best offensive lineman for the Bears over the last ten years. A guy who had a never say die attitude and was at many times, the heart and soul of the Bears offense, Long is one of the most underappreciated offensive lineman in the NFL.
With 76 starts over seven seasons, Long has been nothing but a fan favorite for many Bears fans as well as a guy who was a leader on the Bears. As great of a player as Long is, he’s an even better teammate who was always there for his entire team.
In the first three seasons of his career, Long would make three straight Pro Bowls. Twice as a right guard and then once as a right tackle. However, between 2016 and 2019, over a four-year period, Long has not been able to make the Pro Bowl since he’s been injured multiple times and has not played in a full season since 2015.
Injuries may have derailed Long of his career but there’s no denying the fact that the impact he had on the Bears offensive line is one that cannot be overlooked. While his career may be coming to an end sooner rather than later with the Bears, Long will be talked about for a while in the city of Chicago due to the impact he had.
