Chicago Bears: 15 best NFL Draft Picks of the 2010’s
By Usayd Koshul
Once a top-15 draft pick, Kyle Fuller showed plenty of promise during his rookie season with four interceptions. While he would continue to show growth in his second season in 2015, Fuller would miss all of 2016 with a knee injury before returning in 2017 and eventually playing his way into a four-year contract extension worth $56 million dollars.
Fuller would immediately deliver on his big contract extension during the 2018 season by becoming a First Team-All Pro while notching seven interceptions and breaking up 21 passes. Essentially, what Fuller has become over the years is a guy who’s able to be a true number one cornerback on any team. While some may not consider him to be in the same category as players like Stephon Gilmore and Darius Slay, he’s certainly proven that he’s one of the more underrated cornerbacks in the NFL.
Over the years, it’s been clear that Fuller’s journey to being the Bears best cornerback is what makes him a top-five draft pick of the 2010s alone. At just 27 years old, he’s got a bright future ahead of him as one of the key pieces on the Bears defense alongside players like Roquan Smith, Eddie Jackson, and Khalil Mack.
