Chicago Bears: 15 best NFL Draft Picks of the 2010’s
By Usayd Koshul
An underrated part of the Bears defensive line for the last five years, Eddie Goldman is a guy who does a lot more than people think yet never seems to get enough credit. For a guy who was a second-round pick, Goldman has exceeded expectations and is a player who in many 2015 NFL redrafts, likely end up being a first-round pick.

Goldman’s rookie season saw him 4.5 sacks, six tackles for loss and six quarterback hits. He’s been the kind of guy who will never really fill the stat sheet but will always create opportunities for other players on the defensive line and the linebackers.
Just before the start of the 2018 season, Goldman signed a four-year extension that will keep him under contract with the Bears until the end of the 2022 season. After that, he’ll be just 28 years old and could end up with a third contract with the Bears.
Goldman has also proven to be very durable throughout his time with the Bears, playing in 66 games over a five-year period, starting 62 of them. In 2016, he’d play in just five games and saw his season be cut short due to injuries but would return in 2017 and have a solid season.
Goldman will continue to be an anchor in the middle of the Bears defensive line well into the 2020s. For someone who was underrated coming out of college, he’s certainly become of the best players at his position in the NFL.
