8. This is the kind of game where it’s going to a super talented defense against a super talented offense. Which group has the upper hand and why?

Oleszczak: I would go with the Chiefs offense because of Patrick Mahomes. He’s the reigning MVP for a reason and has been so big for this team since he took over last year. The Bears defense is one of the tougher units Kansas City will play, but we’ve seen time and time again how Mahomes is the difference-maker in most games. The NFL is an offensive driven league these days, which works in the Chiefs’ favor.

Takeaway: Great quarterbacks are able to elevate offenses and take them to another level and while it is true that the NFL is an offensive-driven league where quarterbacks are the main reasons that offenses can either be great or be bad, Mahomes and the Chiefs offense has yet to face a defense as good as the Bears. While Kansas City has played some tough teams such as New England and Baltimore earlier in season, they needed an average of 317 total yards on offense between both contests to even win the game.
