Bears: Burning questions about the Kansas City Chiefs
By Usayd Koshul
6. Who’s on the one playmaker on the Bears offense that the Chiefs will need to slow down on Sunday?
Oleszczak: The Chiefs defense has been better over the last month, but they’re still vulnerable against the run, which makes both Mitchell Trubisky and David Montgomery players that the Chiefs will need to lock in on and contain. Allen Robinson is someone who can make big plays too, but the Chiefs secondary has been pretty good and hopefully can prevent him from taking over.
Takeaway: Certainly an interesting answer for a number of reasons. First, guys like Allen Robinson who just reached 1000 yards receiving on the year. It’s clear that the Chiefs will need to slow him down. However, mentioning guys like Trubisky who have been so inconsistent in 2019 as guys that the Chiefs need to contain is certainly interesting. Overall, the Chiefs will likely end up slowing down Allen Robinson but this means that wide receiver Anthony Miller will need to step up if the Bears want to have any chance at having an ariel attack in this game.
Rookie David Montgomery will also need to be a big part of the Bears offense in the first half on Sunday night to get the offense going. Montgomery, who’s averaged 3.5 yards per attempt in 2019 still has shown to have a never-say-attitude and be a bruiser who is willing to never go down and keep running the ball.
