Bears: 4 potential draft picks from Big Ten Championship Game
By Ryan Heckman
3. Safety Jordan Fuller, Ohio State
Projected Round(s): Mid-Round Pick
Jordan Fuller is a kid who is highly respected by his teammates and coaches. The Buckeyes’ starting free safety had a career year in 2018 with a whopping 81 total tackles, including 2.5 for loss and four passes defensed.
After another strong season in 2019, Fuller was named one of four finalists for the Lott IMPACT Trophy. The award is given to one of the nation’s best defensive players, honoring not only their play on the field but their character and integrity. Needless to say, Fuller is a guy Matt Nagy would love on his team for several reasons.
Although he is known as being one of the better “last line of defense” type guys in the conference, Saturday night, Fuller was exposed early and often. If you did any checking around on social media during the game, fans weren’t particularly happy with their senior safety.
Still, Fuller will find a home in the NFL. The pre-draft process will be incredibly huge for him in terms of jumping into the higher rounds, especially if he struggles in the College Football Playoff.
