3. The Bears step up during adversity

In this game, the Bears were down several significant names. Let’s go through them just so you can understand the magnitude of these injuries:

Out of those names, eight were regular starters at the beginning of the season. Without them, we saw key performances out of a lot of players. Most notably, Kevin Pierre-Louis and Nick Kwiatkoski stepped up defensively. Kwiatkoski was first on the team in tackles, while Pierre-Louis was third.

The Bears defense, as a whole, played very well for the most part. Late in the game, of course, Dallas put another 10 points on the board. But, the Bears shut down the league-leader in offensive yards per game for the majority of the night.

On offense, it was again Anthony Miller filling in for Gabriel. But, Allen Robinson took center stage. He’s coming on once again over the past few weeks, while scoring four touchdowns in three games.

We’ve already talked about the tight ends giving Trubisky legitimate options in the passing game — and these are the no. 4 and no. 5 guys on the depth chart.
