3. 2010-11 Chicago Bulls (62-20)

The 2010-11 Chicago Bulls were coming off of a season where a LeBron James led Cavaliers team knocked them out of the playoffs in five games. Young players like Derrick Rose, Taj Gibson, Joakim Noah, and Luol Deng led the team to success. Veterans like Carlos Boozer and Kurt Thomas helped elevate the young guy’s on the team.

This Bulls team had the whole city of Chicago behind them. They had the best attendance rating throughout the NBA that season. Derrick Rose was named league MVP and the team started the playoffs against the eighth-seeded Indiana Pacers.

The Bulls would ride off of the regular season success Rose had. They cruised their way to a 4-1 series win against the Pacers. They would go into the second round against the Atlanta Hawks. The Bulls had the same luck, winning this series in six games.

The Eastern Conference Finals saw the Bulls get their second shot at LeBron James. An inexperienced Bulls team lost to his Cavaliers in five games. This Bulls team had a lot more success. They were coming off of two series wins and an 8-3 playoff record. They had home court and the best team in basketball.

The Bulls won Game 1 in a 103-82 blowout win. That would be the last time they would win that season. James and his Miami Heat would win four straight games. Game 5 was decided by three-points.

Games 1, 4, and 5 were exciting for Bulls’ fans. They were in all three of them, winning game 1. This team is one of the best teams in NBA history to not win the NBA Championship. After a disappointing end to the 2010-11 season, there were high expectations for 2011-12.
