Bulls: 6 potential replacements worthy of firing Jim Boylen
Jay Wright
The last name on the list for the Chicago Bulls that I would consider bringing in to coach this young, energetic and sometimes exciting team is Jay Wright. Wright is arguably one of the best college coaches in the NCAA right now.
Wright has a .687 winning percentage as an NCAA coach. He has coached both Hofstra and Villanova throughout his 26-year career. Wright has been awarded the Big East Coach of the Year Award six times while coaching Villanova. He has eight seasons in the top 10 and two national titles in the last three years.
What is most impressive with Wright as a coach is that he has built a winning program despite never having top recruiting classes. Wright knows how to motivate his young players and push them to be the best they can be. I would love to see what he could do with this younger Bulls team.
Again, just like Roy Williams and Jerry Stackhouse, the Bulls would need to convince Jay Wright to leave his NCAA coaching gig. Some of these established coaches in the NCAA do not always want to move up to the NBA. Thoughts on any other names the Bulls should consider?
