Bulls: 6 potential replacements worthy of firing Jim Boylen
Roy Williams
Could the Chicago Bulls bring in Coby White‘s former NCAA coach to run this team? Remember when Roy Williams was at the game to cheer on his former athlete? Coby White set franchise records for three-pointers in the second half and fourth quarter. Seems to me that just him being there was inspiration enough for the young rookie.
Could bringing in the current North Carolina Tar Heels coach be the right move the Bulls in 2020? He has the ability to motivate White into successful plays, why not the rest of the team? Now, I am not suggesting that Williams be the Bulls coach just for this reason, but this reason definitely does not hurt. Williams is one of the better coaches in the NCAA and deserves his chance too.
Williams is older, but he has led North Carolina to a national title and the championship game. He has three titles while coaching North Carolina. He has nine Final Four appearances on his resume between Kansas and North Carolina too. He has an overall winning percentage of .789.
Could the Bulls convince the long-time college coach to give it a go in the NBA? Maybe after 32 years of coaching in the NCAA, he will want to see what he can do in the professional league? Coaching one of his favorite former players could be a good bargaining chip.
