With another slow start, the Chicago Bulls are back to the same old, same old. This time, though,  the right man might finally get fired.

Stop me if you have heard this before. The Chicago Bulls have some talent on their roster, yet they can’t seem to put it together.

Chicago currently sits at 6-12 at almost the quarter point of the season, and head coach Jim Boylen continues to baffle fans with his ridiculous coaching style and nonsensical rotation choices.

Or, does every NBA coach run 4-point guard sets on the regular? If they do, please correct me.

Last year, the Bulls fired Fred Hoiberg in favor of promoting Boylen, then an assistant, for a similar start they’re enduring this year. Quick on the draw, Boylen attempted instilling his drill sergeant style immediately — that didn’t sit too well with the players right away.

As fans, we had no choice but to give him a shot and see what he could do. Once reality set in, and fans saw what they thought they knew all along, most had given up on Boylen before the end of the 2018-2019 season — and here we are in the same position.

Already, we’ve seen a little feud between Boylen and guard Zach LaVine after the head coach pulled his starter just three minutes into a game. The next night, though, it was LaVine who got the last laugh as he scored 49 points and sunk 13 from beyond the arc, including a game-winner.

Following that game, as players were leaving the court, it even appeared that Ryan Arcidiacono had to be held back from Boylen. There’s no telling what exactly went down, but it was almost as if LaVine’s big night, after being pulled early, had inspired Arcidiacono to get in Boylen’s face and prove a point.

Although Boylen has been bad, it’s another guy who could finally end up losing his job, though.

According to the Chicago Sun Times, pressure is mounting on general manager Gar Forman. To sum up the report, Forman has made a series of mistakes which do not sit well with ownership. One of the bigger ones was the hiring of Hoiberg. None of this is a shock to fans. Most already knew this.

"“According to several sources, the Bulls’ chairman is not only livid about the team’s 6-12 start and the continued sinking profile of the organization, but is beginning to focus on the crumbling job security of general manager Gar Forman.” –Chicago Sun Times"

Now that the Bulls have fallen lower and lower in terms of being respected as an organization, Jerry Reinsdorf appears to be sick of the horrific reputation he and his team have built up. Maybe, just maybe, he’s waking up.

Boylen is an underpaid coach, in comparison to the rest of the league’s head coaches. So, there is potential to get out of his extension and hire what must be the right guy after this season.

But, it all starts at the top, and it is Forman who makes a lot of those important decisions within the organization. He’s been trusted to do so for far too long. Fans have called for this man’s firing for what seems like a decade, now. At last, Forman may be exiting the building sooner than we think.
