Tandem No. 5: Mitchell Trubisky, Chase Daniel and Tyler Bray

You want bold? You’ve got bold. What if, for some reason, Pace and company decide to roll with the exact same group once again in 2020? They would have to re-sign Chase Daniel on what would likely be a 1-year deal, while ignoring all of the outside noise (just as they’ve done this season) and potentially enduring yet another season of mediocrity all around.

Of course, Tyler Bray comes into play when speaking of the practice squad — and we all know he’s stuck around simply because he knows Nagy’s offense.

It seems absolutely crazy to me at this point, but at the same time, part of me wouldn’t be surprised to see this come to fruition. Just when you think Pace has to fight for his job by making a change, he does the opposite.

It almost reminds me of the 2017 draft, where I was certain the Bears were moving up to draft Deshaun Watson — and yet, here we are.
