The Chicago Blackhawks need to play their game and have some of their impact players step up in order to beat the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Chicago Blackhawks have a tough matchup coming up tonight as the Vegas Golden Knights are set to host. They are one of the best teams in the National Hockey League and are very deep. They are good enough to win the Stanley Cup so the Blackhawks are going to want to make sure they are on top of their game when they visit Sin City. T-Moble Arena is a tough barn to play in so they will need to show up focused and ready to go.

The Vegas Golden Knights can attack in waves. They have two impressive scoring lines at the top of their forward group. Jonathan Marchessault, William Karlsson, and Reilly Smith make up one of them and Max Pacioretty, Paul Stastny, and Mark Stone. Karlsson and Stone are two of the best defensive forwards in the league in addition to being incredibly talented offensively as well. They defend by a committee and get outstanding goaltending from Marc-Andre Fleury. The Knights did very well in the expansion and trading to make sure they are set up for both the present and the future. They are going to be one of the elite teams in the NHL for a long time.

The Blackhawks are going to need all of their centers to be ready because Vegas is very good down the middle. Jonathan Toews, Dylan Strome, and David Kampf need to have good games. They also need support from their wingers in order to contain the threats Vegas presents.

The Blackhawks have clearly a team that has changed the way that they play over the last few games as well. Their roster is built to attack in waves. With all of the good centers that were previously mentioned to go with wingers like Patrick Kane, Alex DeBrincat, and Brandon Saad, they should be able to score some goals against the Vegas Golden Knights. This game is on national television as the second half of NBCSN’s doubleheader of Wednesday Night Hockey. They are after a game between the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals.

This is a matchup that fans should be excited about. Special teams and even strength play are both going to be major factors in the game but there is no doubt that it is going to be entertaining. Both teams have a lot to play for. Vegas is trying to get amongst the top teams in the Pacific Division while the Blackhawks are trying to get back in the race entirely.
