Bears: How fans should feel about Mitchell Trubisky
By Ryan Heckman
Step 2: Stop the defending
One of the things I cannot stand seeing, especially on social media, is the fan that blindly defends a player. I am here to tell you something that could potentially change the way you look at your favorite teams. It could change everything. Are you ready?
It is O.K. to admit a player is playing poorly, even if you like said player.
That’s it. It’s very simple.
We’ve come to the realization that Trubisky has played awful thus far in 2019. Am I correct? So, with that said, why are we still seeing fans making excuses?
It’s almost reminiscent of the Jay Cutler days. Don’t get me wrong, I liked Cutler. But at the same time, he drove me crazy.
I don’t want to get into a Cutler vs. Trubisky debate, here, but at least Cutler threw it down field more often.
In both cases, though, we cannot allow ourselves to fall into that emotional trap. You have to call a spade a spade.
No more excuses for Trubisky. He’s all out, and you’re all out. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t have hope.
