The Chicago Bears found a way to lose a very winnable home game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Here are the three worst performances from a terrible Bears loss.

It’s been a rough go lately for the Chicago Bears. Their offense seems to be stagnant, and they’ve lost to teams they’re supposed to beat. Coming into a crucial game on Sunday at 3-3, the Bears needed a win against the struggling Los Angeles Chargers.

If the goal was for the team to lose in one of the worst ways possible, then mission accomplished. Despite the first competent offensive performance of 2019, the Bears still lost by a score of 17-16. It was a game the team should’ve easily won.

There were some good signs from the offense as the team relied much more on the running game than in previous weeks. It was the first time the Bears offense recorded more than 300 total yards this season.

However, none of that matters if your offense can’t punch the ball into the endzone. The Bears had several chances in the red zone and couldn’t convert touchdowns. Having to settle for field goals came back to haunt the team.

I wanted to put Bears coach Matt Nagy on this list of worst performers, but I can’t fault him as much this week. There are a couple of his calls I disagreed with but this loss is more a matter of players not executing on key plays.

It’s a devastating loss for the Bears as they now sit at the bottom of the NFC North with a record of 3-4. Things won’t get any easier as the Bears go on the road next week to face the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Bears have already equaled their loss total from last year. It’s going to be interesting to see how this team reacts to this shocking loss. Here are the three worst performances from Sunday.
