The Chicago Bears looked abysmal in a 36-25 home loss to the New Orleans Saints. Here are three standout players (for all the wrong reasons) from this disappointing performance.

Going into Sunday afternoon, the Chicago Bears had pressure on them after a disappointing game in London. They faced a tough New Orleans Saints team in what was expected to be a close battle, even with several key Saints players injured.

The game ended up being anything but close as the Saints toyed with the Bears and dominated them throughout the contest. The Saints have a tough defense, but the Bears looked terrible on offense until late in the game with Saints backups on the field.

The loss has some extra sting to it as both the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers won their early game matchups. The Bears knew they had to keep pace with their division rivals as they took the field, but their play looked totally uninspired.

The defense gave up several big plays, but it felt like they were on the field nearly the entire game. I can’t blame them for this loss. The one defensive player who negatively stood out to me was cornerback Prince Amukamara.

On offense, there were plenty of bad performances that stood out for the Bears. It’s extremely concerning to see how badly this offense has regressed from last year.

Bears coach Matt Nagy was touted as an offensive genius when he was hired in 2018. After an impressive performance last season, it appears as if the NFL may have caught up to Nagy’s play-calling.

The Bears are now 3-3 on the year and sit firmly in third place in the NFC North. It was a horrific performance on Sunday, and the Bears appear to have little confidence as of now. Here are three standout players from Sunday’s loss.
