With the NFL trade deadline coming around the corner, we take a look at some of the names floating amongst rumors and how they’d fit with the Chicago Bears.

The bye week could not have come at a better time for the Chicago Bears — for many reasons. Flying back to Chicago following a disappointing loss to the Oakland Raiders, the Bears look to regroup, self-scout and, most importantly, get healthier.

The Bears played almost the entire Minnesota Vikings game in Week 4 without starting quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, who also missed the game in London versus Oakland. Backup quarterback Chase Daniel filled in and did a satisfactory job, but he wasn’t given much help.

Chicago has plenty of issues. For those thinking Super Bowl, I’d say this: Take a step back.

The Bears have problems up front on both sides of the ball, whether it be to injuries or poor play. Matt Nagy has not seen his offense establish the run like we all envisioned would happen, thus defenses have been able to focus more on stopping the pass.

Making these Bears one-dimensional on offense will hurt both quarterbacks on the roster. Chicago has to find a way to get David Montgomery and Tarik Cohen going in the coming weeks, as they are getting set to face the likes of the New Orleans Saints, Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams — all present some tough matchups in which the Bears will have to score points.

The NFL trade deadline is coming up on October 29th, and this season we have seen more trade talk and holdout situations than seemingly ever before. Could the Bears look to take advantage?

Look, I know the Bears don’t have a ton of trade assets. But, a team with Super Bowl aspirations and a defense like Chicago will make moves if necessary. Let’s take a look at five particular players who could be dealt and how they’d fit in with the Bears.
