The Chicago Blackhawks star right-wing had an amazing game in Prague and he is looking like the MVP level player that we know he can be early.

The Chicago Blackhawks are a good team that has some flaws. They need Patrick Kane to help them out and put a bandage over some of those flaws. If he can have an MVP level season then this team could be postseason bound for the first time since 2017. They are a much deeper team and they can’t only rely on Kane, but they do need him to be good. He had 110 points in 2018-19 and they weren’t a playoff team, but chances are if he does that again this year chances are they will be a playoff team based on the rest of the roster.

He got off to a great start against the Philadelphia Flyers in Prague as a part of the NHL’s Global Series. He had two assists and a goal for three points in the Blackhawks 4-3 loss to Philly. It was a great game by him that sort of went to waste because they lost the game. Kane is on track to have a strong season and it is already underway.

Three points in the first game are just the beginning. He is going to be an offensive force this season and he looks good at even strength and on the power play. He is going to connect with guys like Alex DeBrincat on the power play and playing with Jonathan Toews at even strength and both of those facts should help him even more than usual. It would be more of the same from last year and it was one of his best years offensively.

If the Blackhawks do squeak into the playoffs and Kane has 100 plus points then he will certainly get Hart Trophy Consideration. That is the kind of expectations fans should have for Kane as his prime starts to hit the second half. He shows no sign of slowing down and the game in Prague proved that this is going to be another big year for number 88.
