Line 3

This might be the most certain line on the team to start the season for the Chicago Blackhawks. Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but the line of Brandon Saad, David Kampf, and Dominik Kubalik was very good in the preseason and is likely going to stick into the regular season. This is a line that if everyone reaches their potential, it could be the backbone of the secondary scoring. You know what you are going to get from the top two lines, so this line could prove to be very important.

The only one who is proven from an offensive standpoint in the National Hockey League is Brandon Saad. He has proven that he can be a consistent 20 goal scorer pretty much every year if given the opportunity. He struggled a little bit after coming back in the Artemi Panarin trade but had a bit of a bounce-back last season.  As for Kampf and Kubalik, they need to prove that they can do what they did in the preseason in the regular season.

Kubalik has a really nice shot and has shown that he can score goals in many different ways. He can shoot and hang around the net, which are the two biggest tools you need if you want to score goals in the NHL. As for Kampf, he is still budding his offensive game but he is sound defensively and playing with guys like Kubalik and Saad should help him grow his game in the offensive zone. This has a chance to be a really strong line for the Blackhawks, especially when the top two lines aren’t going as well on any given day.
