Chicago Blackhawks: One last preseason game in North America

The Chicago Blackhawks have one last North American preseason tilt with the Boston Bruins before the regular season begins overseas.
The Chicago Blackhawks have sent their big boy roster to Germany to play in an exhibition game there on Sunday. They still, however, have a game at the TD Garden against the Boston Bruins that they have to have a roster for on Saturday. They made a bunch of recalls in order to have enough players to ice for this tilt between them and the Bruins.
Some notable names that will play in the game are Kris Versteeg, Matthew Highmore, Dylan Sikura, Adam Boqvist, and Nicolas Beaudin. These guys are currently slated to start the season with the Rockford Ice Hogs but the Hawks needed them to come up and play the Bruins while the main roster traveled to Europe for the NHL Global Series.
This is a big opportunity for some of these guys to have another chance to impress management before the season begins. There are guys who you would consider first in line for call ups so this could make it even easier once the time is right. This is an important preseason game for a few guys and they are going to want to have a nice showing.
You can expect the Bruins to ice the closet available roster to what they will have in their regular-season opener. The biggest exception is David Krejci, who has a lower-body injury that he is dealing with so he will not play. You can expect to see the rest of their notable names like Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak, Jake Debrusk, Charlie Coyle, Zdeno Chara, Charlie McAvoy, and Torey Krug amongst others for the Bruins. They will also start their star goalie Tuukka Rask in this one so it is a legit dress rehearsal for the black and gold.

After this game, the focus shifts to the NHL Global Series in Germany and the Czech Republic respectively. It is going to be the last time Blackhawks fans get to see some of these guys with the big club for a while so enjoy it and know how important it is for some of them to get one last look.
