Chicago Bulls: 3 ways team could surprise in 2019-2020

2. Bulls make the playoffs
Playoffs? You have got to be kidding me.
No, I’m not. I genuinely believe that if this Bulls team stays healthy, they’re going to be fighting for a seven or eight seed in the Eastern Conference.

This is a conference which has seen some serious change, and a few teams seem to be forgotten about. Remember, the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons were playoff teams a year ago. Even though the conference lost a big name like Kawhi Leonard, it should be competitive.
I see the Pistons and Magic continuing their ascent. I think the Indiana Pacers will be in the mix. Obviously, the Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks are going to rise to the top. The Miami Heat may be involved in the picture now with Jimmy Butler. Do the Brooklyn Nets have enough to get back to the postseason with Kyrie Irving?
There are a lot of questions. Several teams could be in the mix, and this conference may end up being incredibly close once you get past the top couple of teams. Chicago should definitely be in the mix, again, if they stay healthy.
LaVine playing like an All Star, Markkanen taking another step, Porter being the ideal third man, and a defensive boost from guys like Wendell Carter and Daniel Gafford should be enough to lift this team towards playoff contention. Let’s also not forget the point guard position being overhauled. Tomas Satoransky and Coby White will have that spot looking much better than it has in recent years.
The Bulls make the playoffs in 2020. It’s a crazy thought, but it very well could happen.
