Dennis Hull is not the only Hull brother on this list, but he is surely one of the greatest players in team history. He was able to put the puck in the back of the net and his numbers show that. Hull ranks seventh all time in goals for Chicago with 298. He played all but one season with the Blackhawks, as he played his final season with the Detroit Red Wings.

His 13 years with Chicago were well spent, as he played for them from 1964 to 1977. He retired after his age-33 season, as he didn’t have elite numbers with Detroit in his final year. You do have to wonder if his numbers would have been better if he stayed with Chicago and played longer. Hull was an NHL All-Star one time throughout his career.

The Blackhawks made the playoffs in all but one year that Hull was a member of their team. In 97 playoff games, he had 33 goals which are pretty on par with his regular-season goal per game numbers. He showed up when the playoffs rolled around, but unfortunately, he was never able to help the Blackhawks to the sport’s ultimate prize.

Hull was never the player who had gaudy statistics in the regular season that would make you think he’s an MVP caliber player, but like many players on this list, he was just as consistent at scoring goals as they come.

He is an all-time great Blackhawks goal scorer because he was relied upon to chip in a decent amount of goals and that is what he did. Some of the other all-time greats get a lot more recognition than he does, but there is no doubt he has a place among Blackhawks greats.
