Chicago Blackhawks: 15 greatest goal scorers in franchise history
Jonathan Toews is a member of the Blackhawks to this day and is one of the greatest goal scorers in team history. He won three Stanley Cups with Chicago as the captain in 2010, 2013 and 2015.
In 2010, he was the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player of the playoffs. He was one of the best players during those runs and is one of the best players in team history. He was drafted by Chicago with the No. 3 overall pick in 2006 and has been there ever since.
In his 12 NHL seasons, Toews has played in 873 games. In those 873 games, he has scored 327 goals. That ranks sixth in team history and could be as high as third in short order. He is also third all time with 63 game-winning goals, as he has been known to be extremely clutch. He does everything needed to be a great captain and player on both sides of the puck.
In addition to being such an elite goal scorer, he has some personal accolades to boast as well. He won the Selke Trophy as the league’s top defensive forward in 2013 and the Mark Messier Leadership Award in 2015. All of these things coming along with being such a gifted offensive player is truly incredible.
Toews has played in many playoff games with all the team success he has been a part of. In 128 playoff games, he has scored 40 playoff goals and 10 of them are game-winners. A quarter of his playoff goals are of the game-winning variety which is so impressive. Toews’ goal-scoring ability has truly been a gift to the Blackhawks and they are so lucky to have him.
