4. Biggest difference-maker on offense: Mitchell Trubisky

If it’s anyone that’s going to get the Bears back on track, it’s Mitch Trubisky. Trubisky is now in his second year of Matt Nagy’s offense and will be expected to operate the offense in such a flawless manner. In other words, Trubisky is running out of excuses.

While Trubisky does deserve some blame for the Bears week one debacle, there were still plenty of positive things to take away from his game. Now, that he’s had a chance to shake off some rust, Trubisky has a chance to turn some heads.

A major reason that Trubisky is going to be the Bears difference-maker on offense is the fact that he’s playing against a defense that’s he’s already familiar with. Playing against Vic Fangio’s defense is the perfect test for the face of the Bears franchise.

As of right now, it’s clear that not many people are confident in Trubisky. If he has a strong performance, against an above-average Broncos team, he’ll be able to get the entire Bears offense back on track.

However, it Trubisky stumbles and continues to make the same mistakes as he did in week one, the Bears front office will need to start evaluating the future of the quarterback position unless Trubisky comes out and proves that he still has what it takes to be the Bears quarterback.
