1. Protect Mitchell Trubisky

If you go back and watch the film, one of the biggest things that led to the Bears offensive meltdown in week one was the lack of protection for Mitchell Trubisky. The Bears offensive line allowed five sacks, giving up 20 yards in the process. This week, with the Bears facing a pass-rushing duo that features Von Miller and Bradley Chubb.

Last year, the Bears offensive line allowed Trubisky to get sacked just 24 times. However, on Thursday night, one of the biggest reasons the Bears were unable to consistently protect Trubisky was the positional switch between James Daniels, who made his debut at center while fourth-year pro Cody Whitehair switched back to playing his natural position of Left Guard.

With the Bears having to face both Miller and Chubb, protecting Trubisky will be a harder task than most realize. If Bobby Massie and Charles Leno Jr. can consistently shutdown Miller and Chubb, then the Bears will be in a situation where the offense can consistently move the ball.

With extra protection, Trubisky should have enough time to go through his progressions properly and not just throw the ball to the first receiver he sees. The Bears will need to call plays that will allow for Trubisky to get the ball out quickly since both Miller and Chubb will likely try and blow plays within three seconds of the ball being snapped.
