After a disappointing week one loss, we’ll examine how the Chicago Bears can earn their first win of the 2019 season against the Denver Broncos.

After losing in week one, it’s clear that the Chicago Bears have a big matchup against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. A win means the Bears likely have their season back on track. However, a loss means that the Bears will fall to 0-2 and end up having to climb out of a hole that the team dug themselves in.

This week, the Bears are set to see some familiar faces. While the focus will be on current Broncos Head Coach Vic Fangio, the architect of the Bears 2018 defense, Denver also features cornerback Bryce Callahan who was the Bears starting cornerback from 2015 until 2018.

Like the Bears, the Broncos are also 0-1. Denver is also a team looking to get its first win of the 2019 season. And after the Bears disastrous offensive showing, it’s clear that the Broncos are confident that they can take down a team that is projected to have Super Bowl aspirations.

The one fact that gets overlooked when talking about playing the Broncos in Denver is the fact that the Broncos are tough to beat during the first two weeks of the season in Denver. And why? The altitude in Denver makes a difference. Since 1970, over the first two weeks of the season, the Broncos have won 49 games and lost just eight.

In other words, the altitude will be the Bears biggest opponent on Sunday. While the goal is to beat Denver, the goal is also to figure out a way to combat the altitude in Denver. If the Bears can do this, it’s more than likely that Matt Nagy and co. can emerge victorious.

As the Bears get ready to play the Broncos this week, we’ll examine what Matt Nagy and co. need to do in order to come out victorious. Additionally, who needs to step up for the Bears on both offense and defense? We’ll answer all those questions as we preview everything you need to know about the Bears matchups each week.
