Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks have been rebuilding for a few years now. Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin have both retired, Roberto Luongo is gone, and Ryan Kessler is long removed. Those were some of the prominent names on the team that made it all the way to the 2011 Stanley Cup Final. Those guys wore the shoes that a new crop of players is going to try and fill in the coming years.

The Blackhawks went 1-1-1 against Vancouver last year which is less than ideal but three out of six points could be worst. They are hard to read this year because with young studs like Elias Pettersson, Bo Horvat, and Brock Boeser. Those guys are awesome but Vancouver needs to prove that they have decent depth beyond those guys. They have Quintin Hughes as a defense prospect that should be a really good player for them this year. Jacob Markstrom and Thatcher Demko are going to be the duo in net for them this year.

They were fourth from the bottom of the division which could be worse for what was a transition year. They have a long way to go but they should make it interesting this year. Vancouver is going to be one of those teams that the Blackhawks need to watch out for because they have the players that can make them dangerous on any given night.
