As the Chicago Bears get set to open the 2019 NFL season against the Green Bay Packers, we go inside the bitter rival from an inside perspective.

The time has come. We are about to celebrate the NFL’s 100th season the only way it should be done. The Chicago Bears vs. the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field — does it get any better?

Last season is in the rear view, and these Bears are locked and loaded for a much deeper run. Head coach Matt Nagy did a phenomenal job of instilling his positive culture, new offensive scheme and obsessive nature in 2018. Now, it’s time to step it up a notch.

First up, the Packers. It’s Thursday Night Football to get things started, once again.

These Packers are a little different than previous years. Sure, Aaron Rodgers is still leading the charge. But, Green Bay added a lot of new names over the offseason — most notably to the defensive side of the ball.

Hey, can you blame them? The Bears defense has had a lot of the fun — they have to at least try and keep up.

Here at Da Windy City, we may dislike the Packers even more than the thought of seeing ketchup on a Portillo’s sausage. But, my goodness, we have to respect the organization. And as such, we’ve welcomed the assistance of Paul Bretl, the site expert and editor over at FanSided’s Wisconsin sports site, Dairyland Express.

We had some questions for Paul. We wanted honest answers from the Packers’ perspective. In preparation for Thursday night, and the entire season, really, Paul gave us some detailed answers and I’m sure Bears fans will appreciate the insight. Spoiler alert: We asked about Aaron Rodgers and his new head coach.
