1. Anthony Davis

The top player on the market next season just so happens to be the Bulls top target, Anthony Davis.

Davis was recently traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, but decided not to sign an extension, instead playing this season out in hopes of improving an already sky high stock on the market next season.

Davis will get the supermax contract, which is something that as of right now the Bulls can afford. Davis’ willingness to return home to Chicago is unknown, but if he desires going home, then the Bulls can offer him all the money in the world.

If the Bulls were to sign Davis, they would be a championship favorite out of the Eastern Conference. They would surround Davis with a load of both young and established talent, which is the type of exciting roster that would be a typical championship contending team.

Additionally, Davis is one of the best players in our generation. Davis is yet to win a championship, but he was never really surrounded with a championship roster in New Orleans. What happens with the Lakers this season will play a big role in his decision to stay or leave, but if he decides to hit the open market, then the Bulls should throw him all the money in the world in an instant.

Of course the Bulls still have an entire season to play before they think about who to sign from the 2020 summer free agent class, but if they improve as they should, the Bulls will certainly be a big time player in the open market next summer.
