3. DeMar DeRozan

Now we are onto the superstars. The first one is San Antonio Spurs shooting guard DeMar DeRozan.

DeRozan is a multiple-time all star who was dealt from the Toronto Raptors last summer. DeRozan is one of the best scorers in the NBA and provides one of the best night-in and night-out stat sheets.

DeRozan is a shooting guard, so the Bulls would need to decide what to do with Zach Lavine. Pairing the two together is incredibly unlikely, so the Bulls would only make a move on DeRozan if Lavine were to have a disappointing 2019-20 season.

If that is the case, then the Bulls should certainly move on from Lavine in favor of the more experienced and proven star. DeRozan has been one of the most consistent superstars in the NBA, so by cutting ties with Lavine, they would guarantee that there would be no production drop off.

Additionally, DeRozan is the type of star player that has the potential to be the best player on a championship team. Considering the Spurs’ fairly weak roster, that won’t happen this season. However, if the Bulls progress as they should, then the Bulls would be a more enticing option than the Spurs for DeRozan.

Adding DeRozan might be unlikely because of Lavine, but if the Bulls were to take a chance on a real superstar, that chance should be taken on DeRozan.
