Another smaller-scale signing, the Bulls should look for depth at the point guard position.

If Coby White is the point guard of the future, then the Bulls should build some depth behind him in order to make his transition to stardom a little easier. One way to do this is by signing Fred VanVleet.

VanVleet, who is from Rockford, Illinois, was a superstar in the NBA Finals. His Toronto Raptors won the NBA Finals thanks in part to VanVleet’s emergence, as he provided a massive scoring output off the bench.

After one more season in Toronto, VanVleet would be smart to move onto a place where his role will increase. The Raptors might not be a contender after next season, so it would be smart for VanVleet to sign somewhere where he would be a contender, such as in Chicago.

In Chicago, VanVleet would be the sixth man, providing the Bulls with a top scoring option off of the bench. As a local product, VanVleet could favor signing with the Bulls, who he grew up as a fan of.

Finally, despite being a young player, VanVleet has invaluable championship experience. His leadership and grit would be a great fit in a young Bulls locker room, and he could be the glue guy that the Bulls need to get to the championship level on and off the court.
