The Chicago Sports landscape is on the rise in all four sports, but it wasn’t so long ago that they all were pretty ugly. There were some weird stories.

The Chicago sports landscape really is in a good spot. The Chicago Bulls are the only team that looks to be lost as the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Cubs all seem to have a plan in place to some degree. Recent history tells us though, that it wasn’t always like that. There have been some very ugly and strange headlines involving pretty much every team. There are obviously some omissions as far as funny or crazy headlines, but there are five that really stick out.

This is inspired by the recent retirement of Indianapolis Colts superstar Andrew Luck. Luck was one of the premier quarterbacks in the NFL when he was on the field. That is the problem though, he wasn’t healthy a whole lot over the last few seasons. When he was he was awesome, but the injuries started to pile up and weigh on him.

All of those facts led to Luck walking away from the game. It is really sad to see, even though it is good to see Luck make the smart decision for his own personal life. A lot of people like to argue over the situation, but the fact is that it can be both a smart decision by Luck and a tough feeling to have if you are a Colts fan.
