Allen Robinson had his true breakout season back in 2015 when he had 14 touchdowns to go along with 1400 receiving yards in Jacksonville.

Some argue that Allen Robinson‘s lone Pro-Bowl campaign was an outlier year, but the Bears don’t seem to agree, evident in the fact that they paid him number one receiver money last summer in free agency. Robinson had a solid first season as a Chicago Bear, recording over 750 yards but only hauling in four touchdowns. By no means did the twenty-five-year-old play poorly, but he did not put up the type of numbers one would expect from a player who carries a $15 million cap hit.

AR had some nagging injuries last season that prevented him from having a stellar season, and a full summer being healthy could be big for the Bears’ top receiver. There is definitely reason to believe that Robinson could have a season much like his sophomore campaign in the NFL. Not only is Robinson in the prime of his career, but he is now also playing with a much better quarterback than he did in Jacksonville in Blake Bortles. Mitch Trubisky is a hot pick to have a major season this year, which could mean the same for Robinson.

He may not ever have the ridiculous season that he did that year in Jacksonville, but he definitely could prove himself as a number one option on a contending team, especially considering the depth that Matt Nagy has at wide receiver. Robinson should look to get into the end zone much more this season, and hopefully, he can have a 1000 yard and 10 touchdown season.
