Chicago White Sox: Top three games on 2020 Schedule
The Chicago White Sox released their 2020 schedule on Monday, highlighting the dates for all 162 games of the 2020 season. Here are the top three games.
If you’re a Chicago White Sox fan, odds are there is one thing that you happen to be very, very good at.
That is looking towards the future.
2020 just so happens to be the year that all White Sox fans seemingly circled in their minds when the rebuild began in 2016. As of right now, it looks as if White Sox fans were correct in highlighting 2020 as the year that the Sox will start winning again.
A lot has to happen between now and then, including two more months of the 2019 season and a full offseason. Early indications are that the White Sox plan on contending next season and they certainly have the foundation of a roster to do it, however until they step on the field next March, we won’t know for sure.
What matters is that the mentality of the team and front office, as well as the expectations of the fans, will be different. Odds are mostly all of the White Sox top prospects will be with the big league club by then, in addition to at least one notable free-agent signing (fingers crossed).
In short, next season should bring excitement all throughout. Will it finally be the year where the White Sox are playing meaningful baseball in September? We’ll see. If everything works out as it should and the key contributors show up next year, I have a good feeling that 2020 will be a special year on the South Side.
With that being said, the White Sox have a couple of games in particular that all fans should have circled on their calendars. Besides the usual Opening Day games, there are other games that should be just as exciting as the season opener. Let’s preview those games.
