Trade Package No. 3

The Philadelphia Eagles have already done some business with the Bears this year, trading for running back Jordan Howard in exchange for a sixth-round pick. At the moment, they have a few linebackers dealing with injuries, so why not look to solidify the depth within that group?

Nick Kwiatkoski is a good football player. When asked to step in as a starter or even thrown in with certain packages, he has played very well. Each year in the NFL, Kwiatkoski has improved.

Here is the kicker, as well: Kwiatkoski is in a contract year. This is the last year of his rookie deal, and he’s become a good enough player for other teams to pay up next offseason. The Bears will also have a decision to make on Danny Trevathan after this year, so maybe they end up keeping Kwiatkoski on a cheaper deal.

In any event, the point is, Kwiatkoski is good enough to play. He’s good enough to be a starter for a lot of teams, if not the first man up if an injury occurs.
