Chicago Bears: Biggest winners and losers from training camp
The Chicago Bears wrapped up their 2019 training camp on Sunday. The Bears enter the season as a Super Bowl contender. Here are the biggest winners and losers coming off a strong camp.
The Chicago Bears have fans and analysts excited about what they could accomplish as the 2019 regular season approaches. The Bears received tremendous fan support at training camp in Bourbonnais, IL with nearly 10,000 in attendance at some practices.
Fans are indeed excited after a bitter end to the 2018 season, and they’re ready to focus on the exciting potential of this team. A couple of key pieces from last year are gone in the form of safety Adrian Amos and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.
The team also added some new pieces to help replace those losses. Safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix joined the team as a free agent, and the Bears signed veteran coach Chuck Pagano to be their new defensive coordinator.

In Bourbonnais, the defense for the Bears looked spectacular as usual. They’re looking to match last year’s campaign and again be the best defensive unit in the league. Star linebacker Khalil Mack looks to be in great shape and made an impact throughout camp.
The defense is certainly the Bears’ strongest group on the field, but there are others that stood out during training camp. Most of the defensive players are inherently in the “Winners” category based on their talent alone.
I’d like to focus more on some individual performances from Bears training camp that stood out to me in both good and bad ways. There’s some time left to see who exactly will rise to the top, but first impressions are a big deal each NFL season.
Here are two winners and two losers coming out of the 2019 Bears training camp.
