The Chicago Blackhawks have some interesting options at forward going into the season, but this right-wing might fit in nicely in one particular spot.

The Chicago Blackhawks have some really nice forward depth and should be able to score this upcoming season. They are led by superstars like Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane up front and have some evolving stars in Alex DeBrincat and Dylan Strome. They don’t have that much of a need for more forwards but one might be available for them to try and snag that might be a worthy project.

Jesse Puljujarvi was the fourth overall pick to the Edmonton Oilers in the 2016 NHL Draft. He was highly touted and it was a little surprising that he went fourth overall instead of third. He hasn’t really lived up to his potential since getting to the pro level. He has lots of skill but hasn’t been able to put it all together since coming up to the National Hockey League. Last season he had 4 goals and 5 assists for 9 points in 46 games.

There are rumors about how he wants to be traded out of Edmonton, and will not return to North America until he is traded. He hasn’t been given the opportunities a guy like him needs with the Oilers and he wants out. The Blackhawks would be a great fit for the young right-wing. They have been known to take struggling young players and bring them over and have success. Dylan Strome was the third overall pick by the Arizona Coyotes and he couldn’t figure it out there but when he was traded to Chicago, he budded into a potential star.

If the Blackhawks could find get him for a low price, then he would be worth the try. Scenarios like this have worked before and it could again. It is probably a long shot, but if the opportunity presents itself the Blackhawks
