Cleveland Cavaliers

Collin Sexton and Kevin Love

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a work in progress. We’ll just say that. Obviously, their best player continues to be forward Kevin Love. But, next to Love? It could end up being one of a few guys this season.

You could argue rookie point guard Darius Garland is their second-best player, even though he hasn’t yet played in an NBA game. To make it sound most logically, you’d have to put point guard Collin Sexton next to Love in this scenario.

As a rookie, Sexton played in all 82 games which is something to be very proud of. Multiple guys on this list cannot say the same thing. In his first year, Sexton posted 16.7 points, 3.0 assists and 2.9 rebounds per contest. It’ll be interesting to see the future pairing of he and Garland, that’s for sure.

Love, on the other hand, is a bit forgotten. He did average a double-double last year with 17.3 points and 10.9 boards — but he only played in 22 games, making it easy to forget about him.

If he is healthy and on the court, Love is still one of the better forwards in the game. He just needs to be surrounded with a little more talent than Cleveland has to offer at the moment. For that reason, the Cavs check in last on this list.
