Chicago Bulls: Ranking best duos in the Central Division
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bulls are on the ascent in the eyes of many fans, but how do their top two players compare to the rest of the division’s duos?
The Western Conference is loaded with superstars. It seems to always be that way, and thankfully, the Chicago Bulls are in the East. But, the tides could be slowly turning towards a more balanced, competitive Eastern Conference.
If you look at how this offseason played out, the East now looks to be tighter than last year. Jimmy Butler went from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Miami Heat, potentially making them a playoff contender. The Sixers are still up there, obviously, with guys like Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris leading the pack.
The Boston Celtics landed Kemba Walker and still hold a young core containing Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. Kyrie Irving signed with the Brooklyn Nets and will be joined next season by Kevin Durant.
The Toronto Raptors will sure see a fall from grace, but other teams like the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic will be in the mix for playoff contention once again.
So, where do the Bulls come into play? Are they really that far out from competing in the conference?
Let’s ask a different question. If you had to rank every duo in the Central Division, how would you rank them and which two players from each team do you nominate? If you start there, the Bulls actually look pretty good.
The future is not as bleak as it once was for the Bulls, thanks to one particular duo. Obviously, adding more depth this offseason will help. But, where do the Bulls’ best two players stack up against the division’s duos? Let’s dive in, shall we?
