The Chicago Bears have the third-best player in the NFL according to the players.

The Chicago Bears changed the fortunes of their franchise forever when they acquired Khalil Mack from the Oakland Raiders. The Bears were coming off a season where their record was poor but they had a good defense. They upgraded it by adding lots of players but a guy like Mack made it the best defense in the entire National Football League.

Mack had an incredible debut season with the Bears and that was getting into it with an untraditional start due to the fact that he was traded so late and he had to get a contract signed with the Bears upon his arrival. He had no training camp or preseason to get ready and he was still incredible. He had 12.5 sacks and six forced fumbles in a season where he was the best player on the best defense.

On Wednesday night, the NFL capped off its top 100 players list with the top ten. Khalil Mack came in at number three on the entire list. A member of the Chicago Bears was deemed the third-best player in the world. The only players that finished ahead of him are Aaron Donald of the Los Angeles Rams and Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints. He is just ahead of the MVP, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Rams running back Todd Gurley to round out the top five.

It is impressive that Mack made the list that high, especially after the way he was traded with little time to prepare for his new team. There is a reason to believe that Mack and the Bears are going to be even better in 2019 so that should excite Bears fans even more.

The sky is the limit for Mack and if the Bears as a whole improve on last years division title, Mack could be adding Super Bowl Champion to his resume. This list is all relative but take it as a compliment and use it to be excited for the 2019 Chicago Bears.
