Chicago Bears: Ranking the top 7 biggest NFC threats
By Usayd Koshul
Conclusion
Of all the teams listed, the Saints and Rams pose the biggest threat to the Bears. However, the other teams such as the Eagles, Falcons, and Seahawks are still perennial playoff teams. Of the seven teams on this list, the Bears are set to meet the Saints, Rams, Eagles, and Vikings in 2019.
It’s crucial that the Bears beat each of the four teams listed above due to a few reasons. First, to get to the NFL playoffs, teams need to win within their division. This is what makes both games against the Vikings so crucial. Apart from that, the Bears will need to beat the Packers and Lions as well.
Second, games against the Saints, Eagles, and Rams all have playoff implications that come with them. The result of them could be the difference between homefield advantage for the Bears. If the Bears can beat all three, then it means that the road to the Super Bowl in the NFC will run through Chicago.
Unlike last season where many didn’t know what the Bears would look like, the NFC knows how dangerous the Bears are. However, the Bears cannot get too overconfident. This team needs to take each team one game at a time.
Over the last two years, there’s been a strong power shift all throughout the NFC. Since the Bears are Super Bowl contenders too, their 2019 season will be defined as to how they handle other powerhouses in the NFC.
