Expectations are high for the Chicago Bears in 2019, but which teams are biggest threats to the Bears this season?

For the first time in forever, the Chicago Bears are one of the best teams in the NFL. Last year, just before training camp began, most were unsure of what to think about the Bears. Would this team be ready to compete or was it still a year away? However, all the Bears did was defy expectations.

However, even then, the Bears appear to be scratching the surface of how good they really can be. For a team that’s coming off a 12-4 season, the Bears know and understand that they clearly can be better. Now, as the 2019 season approaches, it’s time for the Bears to prove themselves.

Inside Halas Hall, it’s clear that the Bears know that the way last season ended wasn’t good enough. Multiple players know this team could have gone deeper into the playoffs and potentially represented the NFC in the Super Bowl.

With the page turned to 2019, the NFC and more specifically the NFL now knows what the Bears look like with Matt Nagy leading the way. The reality is that in 2019, it will be harder for the Bears to win the Super Bowl.

As of right now, within the NFC, there are seven teams that should legitimately be considered as threats to the Bears. Each of these seven teams have been broken down into three separate tiers. The first tier is for those teams that are considered Super Bowl contenders. Tier two, on the other hand, is for teams could present a problem for the Bears in the playoffs. And finally, tier three is for those teams that the Bears could probably beat but are still worth keeping an eye on.

Besides just ranking these teams from seven to one, we’ll examine what each of them brings to the table and why they are threats to the Bears. Let’s break it down, shall we?
