Chicago Blackhawks: Five greatest players in franchise history

The Chicago Blackhawks are an old, storied NHL franchise and it has seen some great players come through, but who are the top five?

The Chicago Blackhawks are, as you probably know, one of the six original teams left in the National Hockey League. They are almost a century old and have had a very long history. In that long history, they have had some very good hockey players come in and play for them. It has been a storied franchise that has seen six Stanley Cup championships, multiple Hall of Famers, and league awards to be proud of.

There are decades of history to go through to try and decide who the best players to ever play for this team are. There are going to be multiple elite players that are going to be left off the list of five best players this team has ever seen and there might even be a disagreement or two.

With all of that said, there are five players who stand out to me as the best players to ever put on the Chicago Blackhawks sweater. There are forwards, and a defenseman on the list. They have all won multiple individual awards and have been great ambassadors for not only the Blackhawks but the city of Chicago in general.

The players that are left off this list should feel no shame, especially the elite ones. This is a very hard list to make and as mentioned before, this is an old storied franchise that has a lot to choose from. These are the five players that I see as the five best players to ever play for the Chicago Blackhawks:
