Chicago Bears: Early training camp 53-man roster projection
By Ryan Heckman
Offensive Line
This is going to be a bit different-looking group than last year. To begin with, the change has finally been made. Cody Whitehair and James Daniels are swapping spots. That means, for the second time in his career, Whitehair is now back at guard. Meanwhile, Daniels is headed back to play center, where he was comfortable at in college while at Iowa.

Offensive Linemen: Charles Leno, Kyle Long, James Daniels, Cody Whitehair, Bobby Massie, Ted Larsen, Rashaad Coward, Alex Bars
The one starter I will be watching closely during camp is Long. We all know by now that he’s had a history of injuries. But, when he’s on the field, the offensive line is much improved and the run game is a completely different beast. The hope is that he can continue to get stronger and remain healthy.
The Bears brought back Larsen as a free agent, and his ability to play multiple positions should keep him around. After switching from defense to offense last offseason, Coward should take another step and find himself on the final roster.
Additionally, Bars, the undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame, should be a lock so long as he is healthy. The team could have use for Sowell up front, should an injury happen, which is why I stated before he should stay on the roster come the regular season.
