5. Conclusion

Overall, it’s fair to say that the Bears had a pretty good offseason. Despite losing some players, the Bears found quality replacements that they believe can be even better. This is what good NFL teams do. They let average or good players leave via free agency or trade them and then find better quality players at a cheaper price.

Essentially, the Bears goal this offseason was figuring out a way to put the finishing touches on what is clearly a Super Bowl-caliber roster. All throughout the offseason and well into the season, the spotlight may be on names like Mitchell Trubisky and Khalil Mack, each of these four players will also play a role in 2019.

If Montgomery is as good as advertised, then he’ll quickly become a focal point of the Bears offense. Meanwhile, there are players like Buster Skrine that could end up being both an asset and liability to the Bears.

None of the moves the team made this offseason were particularly flashy, however, each of them will go a long way towards helping the Bears win a Super Bowl.
