Chicago Bulls: The case of a Kris Dunn trade conundrum
By Ryan Heckman
Would the Bulls get anything?
This is an interesting question, because if taken at face value, I’d want to answer with a short and simple, “no.” However, depending on what kind of package the Bulls could throw together, why not take a chance on adding another player?
To do so, of course, Chicago would have to package players like Dunn and either Blakeney or Valentine together. Whether they choose to go after any halfway-notable name, they might have to throw in a future second-round pick.
Let’s say, for example, the Bulls attempted to take a flier on a kid like Markelle Fultz.
I know, that name scares me quite a bit as well. But, when you’re in the position the Bulls are, why not shoot your shot?
I get it. They already have a crowded point guard room. We’ve established that. But, there’s no reason they couldn’t turn right back around and let go of Harrison as well.
If we’re talking a straight-up trade involving Dunn and only Dunn from the Bulls’ side of things, I would venture to guess that either cash considerations or a future second-round pick would be the best they could get at this point.
